Matt Black Maxlight XC
This is an absolutely awesome City traverser. What seems at a glance like an extraordinary set up works brilliantly at the task in hand.
The small frame and moto tarmac tyres are excellent for carving round unwary jay walkers and a bit of light street when the shortcuts arise,
while the long(ish) stem and set back post give enough cockpit for getting around. Small Minis keep the weight low and are necessary for pedestrian-
induced endos, and the small 38T ring gets back up to speed quickly and is enough to keep up with 30mph flowing traffic. 80mm Bombers keep the front
low for fast paced action and speed up the steering taken away by the longer stem, and it's got the gears to go offroad when the need arises with
a quick tyre change and fork adjustment. This bike is just what I wanted for 3-10 mile hops across London; done in style and panache with the
matte black paint and silver finishing kit with Goodridge hoses; done with a massive grin all the way.
