No hidden agendas here, this is blatantly an xc race bike born and bred, specced for winning without being OTT. Weighing in at 26lbs, there isn't a lot to say really. The forks are brilliant when finally tuned to the rider's preferences, the handling is sublime with low risers (although completely destroyed with flats - like getting a tanker through the Solent, this bike needs riser bars). It can hold it's own downhill ridden like a hardtail or a full susser, and is scorching uphill. Basically, this bike looks awesome, rides fast.
